The definitive platform for thousands of GSB startups and founders
Welcome back. We hope everyone’s holidays are off to a great start! On to the updates…
Emerging Fund Managers 🚀
We’re excited to welcome Mikael Hajjar (MBA ‘19) to the GSBuilds team as the Head of the GSBuilds Emerging Fund Managers (EFM) Community. Mikael is Founder and General Partner of P1 Ventures. As a first time fund manager himself, Mikael understands the needs of other GSBers starting or scaling their own investment organizations. Mikael will be overseeing all things EFM, including two upcoming events with Carta’s Investor Services team, opportunities for GSBers to meet prospective LP’s, and a variety of other programming & content. If you’ve already signed up to join the community, you’ll be hearing from Mikael shortly. Are you a first-time fund manager (public or private), or thinking of launching a fund, SPV, or other investment vehicle? Consider joining. 👇
As promised, in each newsletter we’ll be highlighting some emerging GSB managers building awesome investment organizations, such as…
Rostislav Shorgin (MBA ‘16) - New Fund: Step Ahead Capital
Monil Singhal (MBA ‘21) - New Fund: Meraki Labs
Jamie Macfarlane (MBA ‘18) - New Fund: Creator Fund
The New GSBuilds Job Board
Every founder knows that hiring exceptional talent is hard. So it’s no surprise that one of the most frequent requests we get from GSBuilders is an easy way for them to regularly advertise open roles at their companies with this awesome community of 3,000+ other GSBers. Which is why we’re excited to be launching the new GSBuilds Job Board - powered by our friends at Pallet - where GSB founders can post open jobs for free. Pallet can automatically integrate with your ATS so that the GSBuilds job board stays up to date and current as your hiring needs change. If you're a founder and want the open roles at your company to be automatically added to the job board, take 30 seconds to add your name here. It’s that easy.
We'll be adding roles into the newsletter and actively sharing the board amongst the community for enhanced visibility.

Join the GSBuilds community for a private session with Waseem Daher, Founder of Pilot.
Pilot specializes in bookkeeping, tax, and CFO services for high-growth technology startups. Waseem is a three-time entrepreneur with two successful exits: his first company, Ksplice, was acquired by Oracle in 2011 and his second, Zulip, was acquired by Dropbox in 2014.

Year in Review
This year, we’re grateful for the incredible energy of this community. As GSBuilds’ first full year, 2021 was full of highlights, including crossing 1,000 companies on the platform, events with incredible founders & investors like Tristan Walker & Scott Kupor, and the launch of our Founder Groups pilot with over 100 founders participating. We’re also immensely grateful to our nine flagship partners. If you’re a founder looking for discounts on key services & tools you need to scale your company, check out The Founder Stack page and click on the logos for special deals.
Want to Get Involved?
As always, we’d love to hear from you. If you’ve got ideas or feedback, feel free to ping us at team@gsbuilds.co. We’re also looking to fill a number of roles at GSBuilds - including a Head of Partnerships and a Head of Founder Community - to continue bringing new resources & events to the thousands of GSB founders & fund managers out there.
Wishing everyone a great start to the holiday season and a wonderful end to 2021. Here’s to another year of building ahead.
Best,
